Shenandoah School Corporation (SSC) was created in 1963 through a consolidation of Middletown, Sulphur Springs, Mechanicsburg, Honey Creek, and Cadiz. The corporation consists of one elementary school, one middle school, one high school, and one administrative building all located at U.S. 36 and Raider Road in the Northwest corner of Henry County. Shenandoah School Corporation is the home to approximately 1400 students each year in preschool through 12th grade, with approximately 14% of those students comprised of students transferring into our district. Historically Shenandoah School Corporation has been an “A” School Corporation. Since the implementation of the Indiana Department of Education Accountability A-F School Grades, SSC has earned eight (8) "A's" and four (4) "B's", while maintaining the highest scores in Henry County.  The Corporation maintains one of the lowest school tax rates in Henry County. Shenandoah School Corporation is a member of the New Castle Area Special Education Cooperative as well the New Castle Career Center.
