Class of 2020: We have received and appreciate feedback regarding our decision to change graduation plans. Due to many parents not being able to get off work to attend a 10:00 AM event, we have decided to change the time of our drive-up graduation to 6:00 PM on July 10, 2020. It is our intent to deliver diplomas in the safest manner possible for our students, staff, and parents. Please understand that this entire process has been extremely difficult for our administrative team; since, of course, we have no control over the pandemic or Governor Holcomb’s decisions that limited our choices. We knew when we planned this ceremony that it might not be able to occur, and I deeply regret that this has happened. Moving forward, the following is our plan for graduation on Friday evening: Students will line up in vehicles after entering from Raider Road (please have parents drive if possible), proceed around the south end of Shenandoah Middle School, pull up to door 5, where they will exit their vehicles, and proceed across the stage to receive diplomas. After receiving diplomas, Crabtree Photography will take a picture of each Senior leaving the stage. As they proceed forward a second photographer will get a second individual picture which will be used to create a group picture of the graduating Class of 2020. After pictures are taken, please return to your vehicle and proceed to the Senior Parking Lot and remain in your vehicle. After all students have received diplomas, we are asking all students to participate in a parade from campus into Middletown. It is essential that you remain in your vehicles during the presentation of diplomas to other students. Respectfully, Gregory W. Allen
Two weeks from graduation! I am excited for Seniors to finally get to walk across the stage. Beginning July 6th Seniors may bring your laptops and chargers to the SHS office. If you cannot make it during the week, then please bring your device to graduation practice on 7/10.

To be safe and cautious we will provide bottled water for all students and staff at SES until clear test results are achieved. The cafeteria staff will alter their menus and will serve on paper plates with plastic utensils. Water usage at SES will be restricted to hand washing and restroom use. SES/SSC will provide hand sanitizer as a further precaution. We will let everyone know in a couple of days when SES has clear water sample results per our certified water specialist.
